The Saquon Barkley Hype Coming Out Of Training Camp Is Fucking Terrifying

The Saquon dilemma is officially here. The more I see shit like this coming out of training camp the more confused I get. Don't get me wrong, I want Saquon to be good this year. It's a contract year. I also don't want Saquon to get a ridiculous contract from the Giants. It already was dumb enough to draft him 2nd overall.

Yes, dumb. I don't care how 'good' you thought he was in college. You don't draft a fucking running back 2nd overall. Not when you are debating (it wasn't a debate) to rebuild or not. Just incredibly stupid all the way around. But here we are. Coming in on year 5 and Saquon is 'finally' looking healthy.

That's terrifying.

Because we've seen 1 year of healthy Saquon. His rookie year. He was good. 1300 yards + 11 TDs + 91 catches. Give me all of that. I just start to worry about the long term play here. What expensive running back is out here helping their team truly win major games? It's basically just Derrick Henry. The top-5 expensive running backs coming into this year?

McCaffrey, Kamara, Elliott, Cook, Henry. Not to say they aren't good running backs, but 2 of those teams made the playoffs last year. One of those teams in the playoffs has a better running back than the one getting paid. Zeke has fallen off a cliff so bad. My point being, you don't need this overpaid big name running back. 

Back specifically to the Giants. It's terrifying because of how important this year is. You have to decide two major moves going forward after this season. Daniel Jones and Saquon. Obviously first year with the new regime but they don't have any ties to these guys. These are high picks from the old (shitty) group. Any sort of injury, any lack of success, you cut ties. That's why this all matters. 

 I need real games to start here so I don't have to keep hearing about healthy Saquon looking dangerous. Either be good and healthy or not and stop being a Giant.
