Buccaneers Center Ryan Jensen Gets Carted Off During Today's Practice With Ugly Looking Injury

The worst part of training camp. Word broke earlier this morning near the end of today's session that Bucs Pro Bowl Center Ryan Jensen, who just re-signed with the team on a 3-year $39 million dollar deal went down in a great deal of pain. Reports that followed were vague.

But as the hours wore on, they continued to get worse.

Then video emerged of the injury.

But if it was a contact injury, likely not a torn ACL per Pro Football Doc.

Is it severe? Will it be season-ending? It's a bit early to tell, but Jensen did suffer a similar looking injury vs. the Eagles in the playoffs and came back during the game.

And while it will be tough to replace one of the best Centers in football, the Bucs Front Office has prepared for something like this. Last year they drafted Robert Hainsey in the 3rd round who impressed at the Senior Bowl with his ability to play Center.

Ali Marpet, the team's starting Right Guard for the past several seasons, who has experience at Center is unlikely to return from retirement.

All we can do now is wish Jensen the best and hope he doesn't miss too much time.
