Pray For The AFC South: Darius Leonard Announced He Wants To Be Called Shaquille Leonard For Now On

HUUUUUGE news coming out of Indy today as the NFL wonderfully arrives back in our lives with Darius Leonard asking to go by Shaquille Leonard for now on, which is great news for the Colts and bad news for anyone playing the Colts.

Usually I would say someone that won Rookie of the Year and made an All-Pro team every season he has played in the NFL as an absolute tackling machine for the Indianapolis Colts is crazy for changing his name. But can you imagine how much of a human wrecking ball a guy with that kind of talent could be if he goes from being named Darius to Shaquille?!?

Giphy Images.

No offense to the millions of Dariuses reading this blog, but I'm pretty sure I would hate being called Darius too my whole life. Hell the most famous Darius in the world unofficially went by Hootie during the peak of his fame and didn't seem to care all that much about correcting people mistakenly calling him HOOTIE. Growing up, I always hated my first name (I won't even write in the blog since people get mad at me when they find out my parents didn't just put the name Clem on a birth certificate). However once I started calling me Clem in high school, I got more confidence, had sex multiple times, and now work at a very successful website where I write about which names people go by. If that's not a glow up, I don't know what is.

Which is why I am 10000000% behind Darius Shaquille changing his name, and even his number if he wants, no matter how well the name Darius has served him over the years. Running backs may have been worried about getting tackled by Darius Leonard every time they hit the hole. But they are worried about getting broken by Shaquille Leonard and that's a stone cold fact.

Apologies to all my fellow Knicks fans for using this gif but a point had to be made
