Kevin Durant Is The Biggest Lacrosse Guy On The Planet, Invests In The Premier Lacrosse League

You know when you start to like somebody and all of a sudden you start to have the same likes and interests as them? It may not be something you'd ever give a shit before, but because it's something that they're interested in it makes you want to start to enjoy it as well.

Long story short, I think Kevin Durant has a crush on me. Because everything this man has been doing lately leads me to believe he's vying for my attention. First up we had Kevin Durant becoming a part owner of the Philadelphia Union. Truth be told, I'm not the biggest soccer fan in the world. But I still love Philly sports despite how hard they continuously let me down. Plus I can't imagine KD wanted to be super overt about what he was up to. Needed to be a little more subtle. And becoming a part owner of the Union was the perfect level to put it on my radar without looking too needy.

But now that he's investing in the Premier Lacrosse League? Now that he's putting his hard earned USD's into the sport of lacrosse? It's as clear as the day is long. Kevin Durant, at the very least, wants to be very good pals with me. And depending on how much dough he forked up to the league, I'm willing to give this new budding relationship a chance. Just like High School Musical once famously said, "this could be the start of something new. It feels so right to be here with you".

On a more serious note, this is huge for the league. We're now in the 4th season and there's still more money getting pumped into this thing. Obviously it's nice to have a billionaire like Joe Tsai on board to always have the blank check ready. But the league keeps growing and bringing in more backers. They have the broadcast deal with ESPN, an insane amount of talent, and a social team that works their asses off every single week. The PLL was already on a one-way trip to the moon. Now they're in the express lane.
