We Got The First Official Trailer For The Game Of Thrones Spinoff "House Of The Dragon" And HBO May Have Another Motherfucking Hit On Their Hands

Alright, let's COOK (nice dragon pun Clem).
Like everyone else, I had my reservations about a Game of Thrones spinoff after Benioff & Weiss dracarys'd the most popular show in the universe to mere ashes in front of our eyes. But most of my nerves were quelled when it was announced that House of the Dragon would be based off of books actually COMPLETED by George R.R. Martin, which is much different than how Thrones ended.

The people that read said books also gave rave reviews about them and promised me a show about them should be awesome. But I was still uncertain since I know how much nerds that love their favorite nerd content can be blinded by how much something may actually suck in real life (I promise I am not talking about people that actually liked The Last Jedi).
However, I threw on that trailer with a mix of excitement and fear about how it was going to turn out. However all that fear disappeared when I saw this shot.

Yup, I'm in. It took forever for those fucking dragons to grow up and bring the heat (nice dragon pun again Clem!) with our beloved Khaleesi. But these dragons will probably be ready to fuck shit up from episode 1, which gives me a raging throner just thinking about. Especially since there are going to be 17 of these murder machines flying around Westeros.
Add in your typical Thrones political chicanery, gratuitous violence, and strong sexual content (which unfortunately will likely include a fair share of incest) and I can already see getting excited to see this screen every Sunday night in the greatest TV time slot in the history of mankind.
A couple other quick thoughts:
- I'm calling it now. "War is afoot" is going to be our new "Winter is coming".
- The opening sequence for this show is going to be awesome but I don't know if it can top Thrones since I think it's the best opening sequence in HBO history, which is saying something considering all the incredible intros they have.

- After watching that again, it has to be said how much Game of Thrones ruled at its peak. I got big game vibes in my stomach just hearing the song for a show that ended in shame three years ago. House of the Dragon is going to be a hit. I'm telling you guys.
- Fuck it, we're gonna throw in the HBO static intro video too because it gives those same big game feels.
- If you need more convincing, watch this video that Gaz sent me today. The vibes are just right with this show. I think (hope?).
- KFC mentioned Barstool maybe bringing back Game of Stools since it apparently did good numbers the one season we recorded it despite hardcore Thrones fans telling us we were crazy for not liking the final season until everyone finally saw the light (ironically for most of them when they couldn't see a fucking thing during The Battle of Winterfell). I never have any idea what the hell is going on around here, but you can subscribe to the podcast feed on Apple or Spotify and we'll see if anything pops up when the show premieres in a little over a month(!!!).
