RIP Spencer Webb

According to USA Today

Oregon Ducks tight end Spencer Webb died after a diving accident at Triangle Lake, about 35 minutes from campus in Eugene, the Lane County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to USA TODAY Sports. He was 22 years old.

According to authorities, they responded to an emergency at the rock slides Wednesday afternoon after receiving an injured person report. After arriving at the scene, they learned a 22-year-old male had fallen and struck his head.

"Bystanders and responding paramedics were unable to revive him. Lane County Sheriff Search and Rescue personnel responded to assist with bringing him back to the roadway as he was approximately 100 yards down a steep trail," the report said. Authorities said there was no evidence of foul play and his death appears to be accidental.

Very sad story coming out of Oregon. Unfortunately, TE Spencer Webb has passed. The 6'5 255lb 4-star recruit from Sacramento, CA was an integral member of the Ducks' offense. Everyone around him expressed how great of a teammate, player, and person he was.

Terrible situation and reminiscent of Todd Doxsey another Duck that passed away by drowning.

A sober reminder of how summer fun can turn bad really quickly. As someone who loves cliff jumping and swimming as many do in the heat, it hits close to home. A reminder that life is fleeting and people you love and even yourself can go in the blink of a second. This Tik Tok Spencer actually made really drives that point across.
