Former Actor And Alleged Cannibal Armie Hammer is Reportedly Working as a Timeshare Salesman In The Cayman Islands To Make Ends Meet

Remember Armie Hammer? Not the baking soda, but the actor who portrayed the Winklevoss twins in The Social Network and starred in Call Me by Your Name? He was accused of being a cannibal by several people; more specifically wanting to BBQ and eat his ex-GF, carving letters into an IG model's skin, and other crazy shit. Turns out the movie business isn't fond of employing alleged cannibals, or at least those who get outed by the general public.

Well, he's earned plenty of money from acting so I'm sure Armie doesn't really care about not being in Hollywood anymore. Just fade off into the distance and live your life on an island, right?

Unfortunately for Hammer, according to reports he's broke and in order to make ends meat meet, the former actor has reportedly taken his talents to the Cayman Islands where he's selling timeshares at a hotel. That seems to actually be happening.

Variety

Now, a source tells Variety that Hammer is indeed working selling timeshares at a hotel in the Caymans, and that all other reports suggesting otherwise are inaccurate.

“He is working at the resort and selling timeshares. He is working at a cubicle,” a source, who called Variety this week, explains. “The reality is he’s totally broke, and is trying to fill the days and earn money to support his family.”

This individual, who asked to remain anonymous, says that prior to working as a timeshare salesman, Hammer was managing an apartment complex in the Cayman Islands. He is living there so he can be near his two young children who have been residing in the Caymans with his ex-wife, TV host and entrepreneur Elizabeth Chambers. A source previously told Variety that Hammer had also spent time in recovery at a treatment facility after his career downfall.

Life comes at you fast. One day you're this incredibly good looking actor, once nominated for a Golden Globe and the next you're trying to persuade an average joe why Sting Ray City is awesome this time of the year. All because you had a cannibal fetish. The guy just couldn't help himself from wanting a taste of some ribs. Tough draw.

Fun fact, Armie Hammer is the great-grandson of oil tycoon Armand Hammer. Unfortunately the report claims he's not in line for any of that money anymore after the allegations came out.

Hammer — who starred in “The Social Network,” “Call Me By Your Name” and most recently, Disney’s “Death on the Nile” — is the great-grandson of oil tycoon Armand Hammer. Despite his family lineage, the source explains that he is not on the family payroll, and needs to work a normal and respectable job to earn money, since he is not getting work in Hollywood.

Welp, to the Caymans he goes. Is it a giant fall from what he had going? No question, but at least the weather is gorgeous and he's with his family. All things considered, it could be a lot worse, right? I wonder if Amber Heard gives him a call.

I could see the movie script already writing itself. Crazy guy lives near an exotic resort who works as a concierge/timeshare salesman etc. He gives recommendations to travelers visiting the island only to follow and abduct them. They wake up back at his place where he's got them tied down and ready to be snacked on. Basically a tropical version of the recent Hulu movie Fresh with Sebastian Stan. One weekend Ana de Armas, Sydney Sweeney and their girl friends visit on a bachelorette party. As her friends disappear de Armas grows suspicious and catches onto his evil plan. She catches him in the act and kills the cannibal before he can finish off Sydney Sweeney. I think we've got ourselves a terribly written Netflix movie on our hands folks.

P.S. Feels like Keegs should take a trip down to the Cayman Islands and do some investigative journalism
