JOHNNY HOCKEY IS GOING TO THE COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS

The ultimate mystery team move. Absolutely incredible. Johnny Hockey signing with the Calgary of Ohio. Absolutely STUNNING move. I feel like all of the rumors were Metro teams and they all got suckered by the Blue Jackets. New Jersey was supposedly offering $10M AAV. Philly was bringing the kid home. The Isles were going to finally spend on offense...nope. None of that. Johnny Gaudreau is bringing his talents to a college town.

That is big bag of money, but it isn't more than what the other teams were offering, allegedly. This guy just likes that quiet life I guess.

Honestly, I am not a big Johnny Hockey guy, but this is a GREAT move for the Jackets. Kind of changes the entire narrative about them and Jarmo might just be the best GM in the game. They already had a better long term path than Philly or the Isles. Now they add a real offensive super star to a team that has Kent Johnson, Cole Sillinger, and Jack Roslovic up front. Jarmo got his guy. The Jackets are close to being a player in the Metro as Pittsburgh, Washington, and the Islanders begin their decline. Hell of a move.
