Baker Mayfield Says He Has Already Marked Down Week 1 Vs. The Browns On His Calendar

Man, I normally pride myself as being sharp as a tack, but I guess I am just a big, dumb idiot. Because I really thought Baker would've learned something from this entire ordeal he just went through. Maybe he wouldn't change as a person, but he'd at least learn to keep his mouth shut when talking to the media. Learn to talk without really saying anything. Quit making headlines every time he speaks. Quit being cocky when he wins and snarky when he loses. Learn to be a little more even keeled when talking to the press.

NOPE!

In his first words as a Carolina Panther, he announces that he has already marked down Week 1 vs the Browns on his calendar. And folks, that's now going to be both headline and bulletin board news.

First of all, I don't think the Browns locker room is going to be overly worried that Baker has circled this one as one he reallllly wants to win.

I just hope Myles Garrett and Jadeveon Clowney help him up after each sack instead of tea-bagging him. Because I do like Baker, I really do. But until he realizes that every single thing he says is going to blow up in the media, whether it's taken out of context or not, he's always going to be too much bark and not enough bite.

Looks like he's got about an hour to figure it out, or else the 30 and 30 career QB will be leading off the 6 o'clock SportsCenter tonight for something he said, rather than something he's done.

Oh boy, let me clear my schedule. This is going to be fun to watch.
