The Full MLB All Star Rosters Are Finally Here And Someone Deserves To Be Executed For Leaving Kevin Gausman Off

I’m over here laughing at Bob including “Jays” for Alek Manoah so sharply that I failed to even realize Kevin Gausman was left off the roster. How the fuck does that happen? He’s the leading fWAR starting pitcher by a goddamn MILE. He’s basically unhittable and has anchored that rotation every bit as Manoah. My only big takeaway is that he’s supposed to come back this week from IL. Maybe there’s more politics than I realize but it’s just jarring to think he’s not good enough to be an all star.

In other news, also crazy there’s no room for Carlos Rodon, Aaron Nola, Ty France, Dylan Cease, Austin Riley, Will Smith or Josh Bell. Plenty of time to add reserves but not at all how you’d handicap the rosters going into Sunday announcement.

Shoutout to friend of barstool Chicago and Starting 9, Ian Happ, on earning his first selection. Pretty sweet to see that guy turn into a bonafide player. More this week so go follow the show.
