WE'RE DOING WALK-OFFS! The Orioles Do It AGAIN As They Notch Their Sixth Straight Win And Third Walk-Off Win In Five Days

I've been preaching it for years. Orioles fans needed to wait and be patient, now it's paying off. The Orioles can not stop putting together these thrilling games and last night may have been the most dramatic of them all. It was third third walk-off win in five days and that runs their winning streak to 6. They're 41-44 and now are only 4 games back in the Wild Card standings. Am I dreaming? They're now 25-20 since calling up Adley, that is some damn good ball. I can't believe how well they're playing right now, everything is going their way, this is the best. Last night they became the fourth team in the last 20 years to win 3 straight games that they trailed entering the 9th. They strung together four straight hits in the ninth to complete the comeback, all of them came with 2 strikes and 2 outs. It's unbelievable the way they keep coming back. They threw together some of the best at-bats of the season at the perfect time.

Iglesias got 2 quick outs, and I mean quick. Then Odor worked a 3-2 single to show some life. He ended up getting to third on the defensive indifference and that laid the groundwork for Adley Rutschman. As is tradition, an extra base hit for Adley to score Odor, in a 3-2 count again. Os down a run with Cedric Mullins at the plate now....

Down 1-2 in the count and he rips one into center. Trout and his baby arm can't make it a competitive throw at all and that allows Adley to score the tying run. Again, all with 2 strikes and 2 outs. Up steps Trey Mancini, the veteran, the heartbeat of the this city, Boom Boom, and you know what he does? Just guess.

Down 3-2 in the count he was sitting slider and boy did he get one. Smoked it into left field and never even looked back as Mullins came in to score the game winning run. This was Trey's second career walk-off, first since 2017 and how can you not be happy for him the rest of the guys. They were DEAD. Sleepwalking. Zombies. And then they staged another incredible comeback for probably their most impressive comeback of the season. Not only was the win huge, the place was ROCKING. Bucket hat night is a holiday in Baltimore so they packed the yard for them and the crowd was awesome. You'd have thought it was a playoff game by the reaction.

This isn't a team you roll over anymore, they do the rolling over. They showed it tonight. Trout and Ohtani combined for 6 hits, 2 homers and 4 RBIs and that still didn't matter to the Orioles. All they did was string together hits and pull another win out. This team is IN THE CONVERSATION FOR A WILD CARD SPOT. I hope you can understand how impressive that is. And this isn't even the year they were supposed to be good! Remember Buster Olney said they were BAD FOR BASEBALL? They were the worst thing that had happened to baseball since the Astros cheating scandal. Now it's crickets from that fraud. The Orioles are a legitimate good team and this is so much damn fun to watch. I just can't stress how impressive that game was. The at-bats by Odor, Adley, Mullins, and Trey were all so damn good. Tides have officially turned in Baltimore, lets have some fun this summer.
