Zach Lavine OFFICIALLY Signs A Max Deal To Stay In Chicago To The Tune Of 5 Years And $215M

Congrats to Zach Lavine on going from super rich to mega rich. Or max rich. Max deal for a guy who is going to be at the center of this franchise for the next several years.

Lavine was a little cryptic immediately after the season, but money talks and this city is great. The team is also pretty great. The Bulls were rumored to be kicking around different moves that would shake up the core and the foundation of a team. Looks like AK explored those options and ultimately decided that this group is closer than they showed at the end of the year.

This group was the #1 seed for a good stretch of the season when healthy. Get Lavine back in the fold and fully healthy, get Lonzo back fully healthy, get Caruso back fully healthy, have a full season of development for a healthy Patrick Williams, the new kid Dalen Terry, and Ayo, Coby being instant offense off the bench, and this team could be in the mix again next year. The Bulls definitely needed some additional interior defense and rebounding. Looks like they're hoping Andre Drummond is the answer

I thought Drummond was washed and roughly 45 years old, but that's a mind trick. He got the Nets a double-double last year while adding a block per game and playing 22 mins a night. That would do just fine here.

I don't know what the ceiling is for this team, but I wasn't ready for another rebuild if Lavine left and AK really shook things up. We know the floor with this team and the floor is pretty fun.
