Darius Rucker Is The World's Greatest Sports Fan After Revealing Why He Wrote 'I Only Wanna Be With You'

What a song, man. Up there for one of the most positive vibes tunes to the point where every time I've been seeing those new Discover commercials and saying it's unfair to the people that they use the jingle in the back because any normal human hears that song and a switch automatically goes off in their head to become happy. Basically pavlov's dogs but for Hootie. Discover is playing chess while everyone else is playing checkers. 

ANYWAY it's we always knew the Dolphins at least had something to do with it because of the classic Dolphins make me cry line, but did we ever know it was the literal inspiration to the song? Of course not. And how about our guy crying over regular season football games? THAT is precisely why Darius Rucker is a national treasure and apparently slowly but surely becoming one of the world's greatest sports fans. Frankly I just need the Dolphins to make it to the Super Bowl now so we can get a Darius/Frank the Tank electric chair.
