Controversy is always in the eye of the beholder. Tampa believes Kadri left the bench early and that led to the OT winner. I completely disagree… This is a natural play in hockey where players hop the boards always early and Tampa had a bad change too. So that is that.

Game 5 will be bonkers and the Avs fans will be in rare form. I had the pleasure of being in the building for a game against the Oilers and that building gets loud. I can not fathom how loud the singing of All the small things will be tonight if the Avs get the first goal.

This game is simple Tampa needs to keep getting the puck deep and rely on Vasy to stand on his head. This formula has worked the last two games but the Lightning sat back too much in the 3rd and OT for my liking. They have to keep scoring and keep the Avs from having long in-zone possessions. How tight will the Avs be gripping their sticks with the hardware in the building? Can Mackinnon lead from the front? Will Kuemper make that timely save? These questions will be answered tonight.

I know this sounds weird but the pressure is on the Avs. They do not want to board the plane back to Tampa. The Avs need to close this game because if they lose game 5 this series is going 7 and everyone knows Vasy stats in Game 7s. Hopefully, the refs keep the whistles in their pockets and let the boys play.
