$150,000 Is On The Line When Ninja And Mr Beast Face Off Against Each Other In League Of Legends

$150,000 FOR A LEAGUE OF LEGENDS SERIES!? What the actual fuck is going on here...

A few days ago, Mr. Beast tweeted this out with minimal context:

At first, I thought Jimmy (Mr. Beast) was going to be hosting some sort of Fortnite tournament or something along those lines. It was never in my thoughts that he would be challenging Ninja to a best of 3 League of Legends match for $150,000 on the line. The event will be held live in Las Vegas. Both Ninja and Mr. Beast will be revealing their teammates soon.

For those who aren't familiar with League of Legends, it's one of the most popular esports of all time. In 2018, the prize pool for competitive play was a whopping $6.4 MILLION! That shit will even make me say, "Wait, people get PAID to play video games?…"

The format is a 5v5. Each player has a special champion that features unique abilities and strengths. Some champions are support, some are tanks, some are mages and so on. Therefore, it's critical to use your characters strengths and abilities to the maximum. It's a 3 lane map, where players are trying to eliminate opponent turrets, bases and ultimately the Nexus. It is a VERY complex and grindy game. Matches typically average 30-45 minutes.

Anyways, Mr. Beast continues to stay at the top of the content game through absurdly entertaining videos and moments. I couldn't be more excited to see this best of 3 play out.
