Cutlets And Lacrosse, That's What Long Island Does | Slip The Picks PLL Week 3

Here we have another edition of Slip The Picks where we breakdown everything you need to know heading into another weekend of PLL gambling. We've got 4 games on the schedule this weekend on Long Island starting tonight at 6pm. Myself, Doogs, and Billy Football preview all the games and hand out our picks. Also we have Doogs and Billy recapping their night at the Tribeca Film Festival for the premiere of "Fate of a Sport", if there's such thing as too much revenge in a Revenge Game, and why the PLL needs to bring back the STX CrankShaft for the All Star Game. Please subscribe, like, comment, all that jazz.

PLL Week 3 Schedule // Long Island

Friday, 6pm // Waterdogs (0-2, 1-1 ATS) vs Chrome (2-0, 2-0 ATS) // ESPN+

The Waterdogs are getting hammered with injuries right now. No Sowers, no DeNapoli, no Withers at the faceoff stripe. I don't think they would have what it takes to win this game tonight even with a healthy roster, but definitely not without all those guys. Also, the Chrome are filled with a bunch of Long Island guys. Connor Farrell, Dylan Molloy, Brendan Nichtern, Sean Sconone. All the heavy hitters for the Chrome are essentially playing a home game tonight in their backyard. So I'd expect them to come out with a ton of juice right off the start. I love Chrome -1.5 and I feel like the Over is the play here.

Friday, 8:45pm // Atlas (2-0, 2-0 ATS) vs Whipsnakes (2-0, 0-2 ATS) // ESPN+

The Whipsnakes are 2-0 to start the season but neither win has been super convincing. They had to pull off a pretty big comeback in both of their games against the Chaos and Waterdogs. But the Chaos are missing a ton of their offensive firepower and the Waterdogs just aren't playing great lacrosse right now. If the Whips find themselves down early against THIS Atlas team? An Atlas team that can score every time they touch the ball and then go win every faceoff? Yeah…it's gonna be a long day for the Whips because there's no coming back from that.

Give me Atlas -1.5 but I think this still stays pretty close. So I like the Under as well. Something like 13-10 should get the job done.

Saturday, 1pm // Cannons (1-1, 1-1 ATS) vs Archers (1-1, 1-1 ATS) // ABC

So the biggest thing heading into this game will be whether or not Lyle Thompson and/or Grant Ament are playing. Each of those guys are the biggest difference makers for their team. It looks like Grant should be good to go for the Archers, at least according to his Instagram. I haven't heard much about Lyle one way or the other. So if Grant is playing and Lyle is not, then I love the Archers. If Lyle is playing and Grant is not, I like the Cannons ML. If both guys are playing, then I love Cannons +1.5. But there's still too much up in the air for me to feel confident on anything other than the Over 24.5 because even without those guys, both of these offenses can put up numbers.

But yeah, I'd just hold off until we get the official game day rosters from both of these teams.

Saturday, 4pm // Redwoods (0-2, 0-2 ATS) vs Chaos (0-2, 1-1 ATS) // ESPN+

This has been a disastrous start to the season for the Redwoods. Not only are they 0-2, but they've lost those two games by a combined 15 goals. They're not even close.

Meanwhile, the Chaos are also 0-2 but they've had opportunities to win both of those games. They're also missing some major players on their roster who are still playing for an NLL Championship with the Buffalo Bandits. So there is plenty of reason to still be hopeful for the Chaos. But the Redwoods? Well this game has the ability to absolutely shatter their season.

To me this game all comes down to the 1st quarter. If the Redwoods can come out hot and show some signs of life, I think they'll be alright considering how much firepower the Chaos are still missing. But the Chaos still have the best goalie on the planet and one of the best defenses in the league. So if the Redwoods still can't get anything going early in this game then they might just start to listen to that voice in the back of their head telling them to quit. Which is the scenario I'm thinking we'll see on Saturday afternoon. So give me Chaos ML in this one.
