Phillies Backup Catcher Garrett Stubbs Hits A Walk Off Home Run And Invents The Victory Bat Spike

The Phillies backup catcher hits game winning super dongs with 2 strikes off a lefty while looking like Gardner Minshew. Love to love it. People are calling for more Stubbs and less JT, which might be a bit of a stretch, but it's just nice to finally have a backup catcher worth a hoot this century outside of Chris Coste (no offense to Eric Kratz, major offense to Andrew Knapp and Rod Barajas). Not only that, Stubbs might have invented the Almighty Bat Spike:

Have you ever seen someone straight up Gronk spike a bat in the name of victory? I'm sure it's happened on strikeouts and pop ups, but on a game winning dinger? Yes please. Originality at its finest. You don't have to retire the bat flip, but mixing in a bat spike would be a delightful addition to the game. That and just run around the bases with the bat, Pedro Cerrano style.

Good teams win, great teams cover the -1.5 run line after going into the bottom of the 9th down 1 at home. Phillies take 2 of 3 of the Marlins and are looking damn fine at 32-31 (keep in mind they were 22-29 about 2 weeks ago - thanks Joe). Ring The Damn Bell.
