Bob Fox and I hopped back into the basement to do a quick recap of Ms. Marvel on YouTube, which we were admittedly hesitant to do since everything from the trailer made it seem like a show marketed very much not marketed toward us. But we decided to give it a shot because we #TrustThe Feige and you know what? It was actually good!

I miss the Fancy Boy rating system

From the first scene on there were awesome visuals, tons of MCU references, and most importantly a fun comic booky feel. What a novel concept for a Marvel show!

Don't get me wrong. This is still a kid show at its core designed to bring a whole new generation of paying customers to Disney+, Disney movies, and Disney parks that may not hit the emotional highs of Infinity War, Endgame, or even Loki or Wandavaision. But it's still an entertaining watch that to be honest was more fun than this week's Obi-Wan.

Plus let's not forget the biggest thing about this phase, which is who is coming sooner than later.

We are going to need all the superheroes we can get to face someone with that much power and puns at his disposal. So give Ms. Marvel a shot or show it to your kid if you are trying to brainwash them into becoming a fan of the MCU so you always have a pal to hit the theater with whenever a new movie comes out. Or don't, I'm not making a dime off this show. But Robbie and I enjoyed it, even though it was pretty much the nerdy version of the Spider-Man meme playing out as we watched it.
