We keep saying it but the series do not start until you lose at home and the Rangers have not done that in a while. The blue shirts have been humming at home and they have to continue that tonight. For the stat guys out there they are 8-0 at home in the in their last 8 and they owe a lot of that record to Igor and Fox.
In Tampa, the Rangers seemed to slow down a bit in game 4 and did not draw enough penalties. When they are getting pucks deep and hemming teams in they draw a lot of penalties and that lethal PP gets on the ice. Also, clear the front of the net and let Igor have some room. Perry has gone back to his role of getting in goalies faces and stirring it up. Where is Trouba? He is the guy that has to make life hell for anyone that comes 2 ft from the blue paint. But this is NY and the boys shine when MSG is rocking.

Also, can the Rangers on their PK please press out on Kucherov, he is the most dangerous player on the ice at all times and the decision to give him time is a mistake. In Hockey, teams do not shadow players but Kucherov getting a breakaway and all the time in the world to dish on the PP is not a good long term plan. The Rangers have to bang him around and get him on the ice.
Tampa will look to slow the game down and try their best to keep the crowd on their hands. I said in my last blog that Tampa plays a whole hell of a lot better when they get their lead. Vasy was due for a dominant performance and he delivered for game 4 but not allowing the Rangers to get any momentum. When Tampa is playing great, you will see Vasy getting a lot of whistles and basically controlling the pace of the game. Their PP is very good and if that starts clicking this series will end in Tampa in 6.

Injuries are playing a part in this series for sure when all the fans want everyone to be playing. This game will be like a chess match with Rangers playing on the front foot and the patience from Tampa. But the 93 burgers will be eaten so I gotta stay the course. Let's Go Rangers!!! This series is great hockey but both teams want to end it and get some rest so they have the energy to deal with the monster that is Cale Makar.
