Flipping Off the Opposing Outfielders Rounding First Base Is Why College Baseball Is Undefeated

Jordan Beck came up huge for Tennessee in the Vols' regional championship against Georgia Tech, delivering a double in the 9th inning to tie the game — which UT went on to win 9-6. The hit itself was only half of the greatness Beck delivered in that moment, though.

I love this team, man.

They don't lose. They do whatever they want. They piss everyone off. Rinse and repeat.

I saw a lot of pearl clutching and "classless" responses on the timeline in response to Beck's gesture, which I enjoy very much, honestly. These are 18- to 22-year-old dudes on what might be the greatest college baseball team ever. They've embraced the villain role. Everyone hates them anyway, so if and when they kick your ass, may as well let the world know about it.

If you haven't watched Tennessee play baseball this season, I'd highly recommend doing so this weekend in the Super Regionals against Notre Dame and hopefully beyond into Omaha. You will either be incredibly entertained or very upset, and possibly both.

College baseball has never been hotter in the streets than right now and I am proud to be the team that everyone loves to hate. We wouldn't have it any other way.
