Post Malone Dropped His New Album, "twelve carat toothache", And Upon First Listen, It's Strong To Quite Strong

I wanted to title this blog saying this new album from Post Malone, twelve carat toothache, which dropped last night at midnight, was "decent". But I decided to go with the Greg Focker "strong to quite strong" instead.
I'm witty like that.
And so is Post Malone, as he's once again shown on his new work.
The new album boasts 14 tracks total, two previously released singles, one previously debuted song on SNL, and 11 never before heard tracks. Clocking in at just over 40 minutes the album also features appearances by Doja Cat, Gunna, The Kid LAROI and The Weeknd to a more surprising collaborator in Fleet Foxes.
This is by far the most introspective album to date from Post Malone. You can really tell that him isolating himself and moving to the mountains of Utah the past couple years has allowed him the clarity to really self-analyze. That self awareness shines through on very personal songs here- "Wasting Angels,”

The lead single, which everybody under the sun has undoubtedly heard by now, "One Right Now" featuring The Weeknd, didn't blow me away at first but it grew on me and is now one of my favorite songs on pop radio.
I know that's not saying much, but I've grown to fucking love this song.
The other single, "Cooped Up" featuring Roddy Rich I was not a fan of
His song with Doja Cat, "I Like You" will probably be the next single, and highest charting one. It's the perfect summer radio and club song.

One of the most intimate songs on the album, the one he debuted on SNL recently, "Letter To Alcohol", which features Fleet Foxes is really sobering. No pun intended, yet intended.
My personal favorite song on the album so far is "Insane'. Just a classic Post Malone track that ranks up there with everything from "White Iverson" to "Better Now", to "Psycho"
All in all nothing that's going to blow you away but a solid summer album nonetheless. Worth throwing on this weekend with the windows down or on your buddies boat.
