The Man Who Had To Battle 'Ted Lasso' Stigmas Helped Save Leeds United From Relegation And Delivered An A+ Locker Room Toast

Meet Jesse Marsch, an American who had to battle Ted Lasso stigmas when he was hired at Leeds United:

Not an easy job! Not an easy one at all. And it came down to the last match of the season in order to save Leeds from relegation. Bang, 2-1 win over Brentford thanks to a crazy late goal from Jack Harrison. Ended up being clear of relegation by 3 points.

Marsch took over for the first match on March 5 and got 15 points for Leeds. Pretty good! Love that beer toast too. I know people will make fun of celebrating finishing 17th, but you're talking millions of dollars in staying in the Premier League vs going to Championship. It matters. You can tell the emotion on his face too and the way he talks.

Speaking of celebrations, how about star Raphina who scored yesterday too.

Some say he was giving thanks to God for the win, all I can think about is how much that hurts. I mean walking the length of the field just on your knees? That's a good way to hurt your back. At least he had a pretty solid celebration with his fiancee before:
