"LOCK IT, COCK IT, ROCK IT, WE SOCK IT!" : Joey Zanaboni Gives Us The Minor League Call Of The Year On This Late Inning Home Run

There are electric calls and then there are what Joey Zanaboni just did on the mic. Last inning of a double header in a series rubber match and Viandel Pena smoked this home run OVER the playground to essentially win the series. Nice little win for them on a homer that went a long way, and boy did Joey let you hear about it. Minor league announcers love to have fun with the game, and that is what Joey did.

I love how the call gets better and better. Off his bat it sounds normal, but then Zanaboni kicks it up a notch. "RIGHT FIELDDDDDD! COULD IT BE????? GET OUTTA TOWNNNNNNN!" Great call, right to the point, let everyone know that the ball was pissed on and wouldn't be returning. But then it somehow gets better.

"LOCK IT, COCK IT, ROCK IT, WE SOCK IT! EL VICE PRESIDENTE!!!!!!" It's beautiful. You know he had this in the pack pocket just waiting to let it rip, and let it rip he did. He did let the moment breath and gave us some dead air, but I'm sure it was just him catching his breath because he was using his pipes for the previous 20 seconds. This is the kind of stuff I want from my minor league announcers, let it fly. Let it rip. Have fun with it and be creative, that is what Joey did. And I also reallllly wish his name was Joey Zamboni and not Zanaboni. It's no offense to him, but a minor league announcer named Joey Zamboni would almost have been too good to be true.

This isn't his first time unleashing a great call on us, he's been doing it for a while. So sit back and laugh your ass off at Joey's call over and over like I did. For sure will be yelling "LOCK IT, COCK IT, ROCK IT, WE SOCK IT!" all weekend during softball.

He has the perfect announcers voice too, all I want is Joey to follow me around and narrate my day. What a legend, no doubt you'll see him in MLB booth somewhere soon.
