We Have An Update To The WILD Juco Baseball Fight Video: The Pitcher Has been Kicked Off Of The Team

We were all waiting for an update to this insane video that came out the other day. The JUCO pitcher who reallllly didn't like giving up the home run and did a picture perfect spear as the batter was rounding third base has been kicked off of the team. On Thursday the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference announced that both pitcher and batter were being suspended. Kind of a weird move, the batter was suspended for "taunting"....but he didn't open field tackle the dude, lets be real. But another update came in that says the pitcher, Owen Woodward has been kicked off the team and the school is debating on expelling him. Since it was in Texas I was unsure how the punishment would go. I thought he would either be looked at like a hero or given the boot. Seems like we got our answer. And it's the right answer, if you tackled a batter every time they hit a home run off of you Gerrit Cole would be leading the world in tackles, you just can't do that. Especially at this level. This is something we'd never see in the bigs, I can guarantee you that. Texas is just a different animal, and we saw a good example of why right here. 

Weatherford College is still debating on whether to expel Woodward. I think that punishment fits the crime, but that's just me. Several other players were suspended due to the brawl and their involvement in the fight. Both teams had to forfeit Wednesday's game and games 2 and 3 were forfeited by North Central Texas due to not having enough players. But they still have game 4 on Saturday and you bet your balls we will get some fireworks there. So again, the pitcher is kicked off the team and possibly expelled from the school and a bunch of others are suspended. See kids, that is why you don't spear someone.
