The Steelers Would Reportedly Sign Baker Mayfield "The Very Next Day" If The Browns Release Him
This entire ordeal, just like the Browns organization over the last 23 years, is just one huge disaster. And you know what? I think it's about time I change my tune and stop pulling my hair out over this circus that we call the Cleveland Browns. I think it's time I finally embrace the chaos. Because that's exactly what Baker Mayfield suiting up for the Steelers would be: absolute bedlam. A free-for-all. Pandemonium. Lawlessness. I can't imagine anything crazier happening. In fact, I would say Baker Mayfield coming back to Cleveland Browns Stadium as the starting QB for the rival Pittsburgh Steelers would be bigger than LeBron's return. Yep, that's a fact. It absolutely would be.
With that being said, there is a 0.0% chance that we release him. Andrew Berry is too smart to let this happen. Although it would be great for both parties (Baker needs a job, the Steelers need a QB), it would be awful for the Browns. Not only would it be more of a drama than Ozark, Bridgerton, and Succession combined, it would also be bad to lose someone that knows everything about our offense and organization to an in-division rival. Can't release Baker. The Steelers could, should, and would sign him the very next day.
This is a non-story. The only story continues to be where and when Andrew Berry decides to deal him. Seattle? Carolina? But definitely not Pittsburgh, although it would be fun to see the Steelers fans who trash talked him the last 4 years completely scrub their Twitters.
