Toronto Finally Gets That Huge Win Against Philadelphia They've Been Looking For
I'll tell you what. I'm really happy for all my brothers and sisters up North. To go up against Philly at this time of the year and come away with a win is no easy task. That W they've been desperate to catch for a week now is finally theirs. The odds were stacked against them but somehow they managed to find a way. I just hope Nick Nurse is now able to sleep soundly. He's earned it.
Anyways, hope you enjoyed this little check in on the Flyers. Had no idea their season was still going on but holy shit, turns out the schedulers are a bunch of merciless assholes. This 2021-22 Philadelphia Flyers team is without a doubt the most dog shit pathetic group of Flyers I've ever seen in my life, and somehow they still manage to get worse. I mean could you imagine being anyone who got upset over the Flyers healthy scratching Keith Yandle to end his iron man streak, and then seeing THAT performance on display? Holy hell. I mean Jeremy Roenick was literally brought to tears and vomit over the decision a few weeks ago.

Mike Yeo should be ashamed. Disappointed to be a Flyers fan. No free agent would ever want to play here ever again (that still might be true but just because the organization is a fucking joke, not because of the Yandle scratch).
And then what does Keith Yandle go out there and do? Gets his ankles shattered into a million pieces against Toronto. Which typically wouldn't be the worst thing to ever happen had it been by Auston Matthews or Mitch Marner or even William Nylander. But for Wayne Simmonds to be the one sending Yandle to get emergency ankle reconstruction surgery? Pee. Yew. No thanks. Hope the press box has some good snacks.
Oh, and speaking of the organization being a fucking joke....

Jim McCrossin has been one of the most important figures within this Flyers organization for years. Now he and assistant athletic trainer Sal Raffa have to take legal action against the Flyers after unsafe work conditions with Zamboni chemicals have contributed to their matching cancer diagnoses. It is absolutely disgusting that 1) this was able to occur in the first place and 2) that these two need to take legal action instead of the organization simply doing everything they possibly can to help out their own guys after they put them in this horrible circumstance. Comcast-Spectacor doesn't give a shit about the Flyers, they don't give a shit about the fans, and they certainly don't give a shit about all the great people within the organization who actually make everything go. Sell the team and sell it now. And here's to all the strength and courage Jim McCrossin and Sal Raffa will need on their battle.
