Since The Reds Owner Asked Fans Where They Were Going To Go If They Didn't Root For The Team,They've Lost 6 Straight And Have The Worst Record In Baseball

Poor Phil Castellini, did he think his quotes from Opening Day would provide some juice for the ball club? If he did he was dead wrong. Not only did his quotes not go over well with the fans, because tellings fans to basically suck it up and root for another team if they don't like how the Reds are doing business isn't the best thing to say, but it also didn't seem to pump up the team at all. Since Castellini made those comments the Reds have been the worst team in baseball with a 2-8 record, have the worst run differential in baseball at -24, have lost 6 straight by a 43-15 mark, and they also haven't had a lead in any of those 6 games. No one on the team has more than 6 RBIs, they've hit a combined 7 homers, they've got 3 guys with over 13 strikeouts, nothing is really going right for the Reds. And it didn't help that their owner basically pissed all over them and the fans before Opening Day. He threatened the fans by taking the oldest team in baseball away and the team fell flat on their face. Sure they played the Braves, Dodgers, and have a series with the Padres starting tonight but man what a rough start. Take away Hunter Greene and there hasn't been much to cheer for. You can't blame the fans for being pissed off, and I'm sure the players weren't happy with those comments, well it's officially become a problem because it's starting to seep into the on the field product. Can't wait to see what this dingus says next to try and rile up the guys, maybe showing some public support instead of threatening them will work? Who knows, stay hot Cinci!

PS. That is an all time picture by the reporter. Looks like a wrestling promo.
