Matt Vasgersian Channels His Inner John Sterling And Absolutely Butchers The Call Of Jared Walsh's Home Run

Ohhh man, tough look here for Matty V, who I usually think is one of the better broadcasters in baseball. But he fell victim to the satellite broadcast, this is what happens you don't have the broadcasters physically in the ballpark. Vasgersian thinks this ball is fouled off and calls it as one. Just a casual "that ball is fouled off", but nope! That ball is headed out for an oppo taco. Everyone knew it was a homer, the pitcher, the hitter, the fans, everyone. Except Matty V. And you can't really blame him, he's at mercy of the TV screen like we all are. He was probably already looking down at his scorebook marking another pitch when he looked up and saw the ball was gone. Much to his surprise it was a homer and he called it as a foul ball. I'm not sure if this is worse than any of John Sterling's recent gaffes just because he isn't in the park, he's just watching on TV. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt but this is  clear cut evidence ALL announcers need to be back in the ballparks. I did get a chuckle out of it though, very funny call by him.
