Baker Mayfield Wants To Come To Your Job And Boo The Shit Out of You

What an out of touch comment from someone that already isn't in the greatest of graces with the general public. To be clear, Baker Mayfield's base salary to play football, before bonuses and commercial money, is $18 MILLION a year. Yet he is sad and upset that people boo him when he doesn't play well....

First of all, if someone paid me $18 million per year, they could connect a megaphone directly into my ear drums and boo for as long as their little heart desires. 9:00 to 5:00 each day, nonstop heckling. Chant, hiss, scream as loud as you want. And then when it's time to clock out, I'd pack up my bag, head home, and enjoy the fruits of making more money in a DAY than what the common man makes in a year. That's right Baker. Let's switch contracts and you can let the boo birds fly. But additionally, you have to purchase the uniform I wear to work, drive to my work, pay $50 to park at my work, watch me stink at it for 4 hours, pay $25 for a hot dog and soda, and then you can boo me.

I'm sick and tired of hearing that professional athletes have feelings too. I get it. It probably sucks to work so hard at something, feel like you turned an entire organization around, and then get booed even though you're playing through injury. But cry me a river. You're never going to get any sympathy from the common man who spends their hard earned money to watch you play. If you want the fame and fortune that comes with being a starting QB in the NFL, one of only 32 people in the world that get to do that, then you're going to get booed when you play poorly. That's how it works.

The good news for Baker is that if his career continues the trend it's on, he'll have the opportunity to be in the cubicle with everyone else. And remember the report that came out that the "Browns want an adult at QB"? Well now you see why.

**Free marketing idea for Progressive and Hulu Plus: Baker Mayfield going to people's offices and booing would be an electric commercial.
