The Ivy League Is The Most Dominant Force In Sports This Year

What the Ivy League is doing right now in college lacrosse might be the most impressive thing that nobody is talking about at the moment. I get it. There's March Madness. There's NFL Free Agency. But my gosh these nerds are putting on a show right now.

These are a bunch of kids who, through no fault of their own, had their 2020 season cut short and their 2021 season cancelled entirely because their educational institutions were too chicken shit to find a safe way to let the kids play last year. So here we have guys who hadn't played meaningful lacrosse in 2 years coming back this year and what have they done so far?

Well the 7 Ivy League men's programs are currently a combined 29-6 on the season. 5 of those losses came against top 20 teams and 4 of those losses were on the road. No Ivy League team has lost a game in the month of March so far (that'll obviously change this weekend as we have 3 Ivy League conference games on the schedule). And when you look at the top 20 polls right now, the Ivy has 3 teams in the top 10 and 6 teams in the top 20. Cornell at 3, Princeton at 4, Penn at 6, Yale at 11, Brown at 13 and Harvard at 19. That is preposterous.

So to talk about this insane run the Ivy is currently going on, we brought back our good pal and resident Ivy expert Larken Kemp who was an All-American LSM at Brown (not a big deal). We talk about the Ivies, about the no good very bad weekend in the ACC, Syracuse vs Hopkins has lost all its juice, a heroic moment in club lacrosse, and our picks and preview for this weekend's slate of games.
