The Browns Are Said To Be Breaking Up With Baker Mayfield Because They "Want An Adult" At Quarterback

But a guy with 22 sexual misconduct accusations is an "adult"......? Mort better be quoting the Browns camp verbatim, because that's a really weird thing to say. And if it did come word for word from the Browns camp, a group that, may I remind you, flew down to Houston to meet with a QB that probably has some sort of suspension from the league coming...and didn't even tell their "franchise QB" they were doing it. That's not very adult like either.

Listen, I'm not here to judge whether Baker, who seemingly carries around a little black notebook to write down the names of anyone who doubts him, or Deshaun Watson, who still has 22 civil suits pending for how he treats massage therapists, is more of an adult. I am here to judge who gives the Browns the best chance to win as their starting quarterback. And whether that was two days ago before this circus or this very second, the answer is the same: Deshaun Watson.

The problem is.....we currently have Baker Mayfield. And we have burned that bridge more than if you poured gasoline all over it and tossed a match on top. Andrew Berry has never let me down, but he better have a damn good plan for if we don't get Deshaun Watson. Because the way this whole thing has went down, Baker Mayfield cannot be the quarterback of the Cleveland Browns next year. CANT BE. No chance. But again....he's who we currently have?

If I were to rank who I WANT, it would go:

1. Deshaun Watson

2. Jimmy G

3. Matt Ryan

But if I were to rank who we HAVE, it would go:

1. Baker Mayfield

2. Case Keenum

3. Nick Mullens

I believe in Andrew Berry. But my goodness he better have a plan B…..
