It Is With Great Sadness I Must Blog The News That Amy Schumer Quit The "Barbie Movie" Due To Creative Differences And She Was Replaced By Margot Robbie
Let's just all level with each other here- Barbie is hot. And she's not just the blonde hair and blue eyes- Barbie is career-driven, well educated, has a sweet car, a vacation dream house, and a role model to millions. She's the full package.
So when it came time to make a movie about her life, for some reason they casted the anti-Barbie. It'd be like if they casted me to play Brad Pitt. It'd be like if they casted Dave to play Manute Bol (when that job obviously would be much better suited for Gaz). They casted fuckin' Amy Schumer to play BARBIE. But alas, 5 years later, we are now learning she quit the project due to "creative differences":

AV Club - Nearly five years after stepping away from the project, Amy Schumer has opened up about why she left the upcoming Barbie feature. She cites not “scheduling conflicts” (which is what her initial statement said back in 2017), but vast creative differences with the overseeing studio at the time, Sony.
“[The studio] definitely didn’t want to do it the way I wanted to do it, the only way I was interested in doing it,” Schumer says in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

Lmao. Going from Amy Schumer to Margot Robbie to play Barbie is the biggest upgrade in the history of the world. I was trying to come up with some sort of comparison/analogy and simply cannot come up with an upgrade even close to that. Like, ok. Have you ever known a buddy who dated the worst type of egotistic attention whore and then he dated the most perfect angel in the entire world? Something like that, hypothetically speaking.
Have I ever talked about the time I did a blog about Amy Schumer and then she sent me a string of 10 DMs, actually more like 30 DMs, going absolutely crazy on me? Then she blocked me. It was wild. In that blog too I defended her saying she is way too rich and successful to ever steal jokes from her fellow comedians. I went on and on saying nobody would ever cast her in a movie if she was stealing jokes from other comics. So she is my sworn enemy now, I think.
Anyway, I took no pleasure in doing this blog. It's like when Jackson Mahomes is in the news for doing something stupid, my hands are tied, I must blog it, it's my job and I would hate to fail at my job. So if I must report on Amy Schumer quitting the Barbie movie and being replaced by Margot Mf'ing Robbie, I will do it.
