Sources Say MLB Owners Will Not Accept Any Offer From The Players Because They Want To Have The Upper Hand (Source = Steve Cohen's Twitter Likes)

Welp, we have officially reached the Twitter Likes Watching stage of this lockout. Good times! I would personally rather be watching guys with uniform numbers in the 70s and 80s play baseball during a split squad game while beat writers compared the weather to that of their colder home cities (It's 83 in Jupiter, FL while it's snowing at the Casa de Clem in New York. Fuck me). But this is unfortunately the shitty world we live in.

I'm sure people are trying to connect the dots about what this Like means since Cohen is an owner and all, so I'll give my two cents as the official Blogger of all things King Cohen. Uncle Stevie clearly knows the assholes he is working with have been negotiating in bad faith this whole time because they know they can, with Rob Manfred leading the charge. Cohen also knows that a big part of said assholes' agenda is to make it harder for a guy like him to win by throwing around his big fat wallet in a sport without a salary cap. Noted new Mets beat writer Jon Heyman said as much earlier.

Being a billionaire with a day job that is the boogeyman for multiple owners, Cohen doesn't really care when this all gets resolved or how. He just knows bad faith negotiations when he sees them because he's not a businessman. He's a business, man. Jay-Z said that so you know it's true.

So he'll scroll on Twitter like the rest of us while the broke bois that are trying to handcuff his team by imposing luxury tax penalties and blocking the Mets from interviewing anyone in their front office nickel and dime everyone out of baseball games for the foreseeable future, all while circling which players he wants to scoop up with his Fuck You Money. Because as a wise man based on an even wiser man once said...

When reached for comment, Steve Cohen said this which reads like when Bill Belichick used to sarcastically say things like Snapface when talking about social media.

I haaaaate when mistakenly liking tweet about a bunch of people that are actively trying to fuck you over happens!

By the way, I loooooove that Steve Cohen's Twitter Likes have become back page news. Remember when Steven Matz's agent pissed off Cohen to the point he signed Max Scherzer for a zillion dollars? Good times! Hopefully all the teams that can't refuse to pull a move like that because they don't care about winning enough can figure this shit out and give us baseball sooner rather than later.
