HELLO THERE - The 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' Teaser Trailer Is Here!

FINALLY! We just got our first look at Ewan McGregor BACK as Obi-Wan Kenobi today in the form of this teaser trailer, and as expected, this mini-series looks like it's gonna be AWESOME.

We got the older, grizzled Ben Kenobi checking in on a young Luke (who appears to be dreaming of a pilot's life already)....

We got confirmation of Inquisitors (and the GRAND INQUISITOR) from the cartoons/video games hunting Kenobi down….

….and uh, the Grand Inquisitor is lookin thicc compared to his cartoon counterpart. More on him HERE.

I guess that head IS ridiculously thin in the cartoon, though.

We got locations OTHER than Tatooine (THANK GOD)….

We even got the extremely underrated Joel Edgerton back as Uncle Owen, seemingly watching a brutal public hanging here….

….so they're putting it out there right off the bat: this show is gonna get DARK

Oh, and of course, we got the sound of Darth Vader's breath to end this teaser, just as I predicted….

….and we learned VERY little about the actual plot of this show beyond what we already knew, which I loved.

Jeff and I were just discussing how disappointed we were with how much 'The Batman' gave away in its trailers, and it doesn't look like Obi-Wan is gonna have the same problem if this teaser is an indication of all the marketing material. Disney's usually pretty good at that shit, too, to be fair - I trust them more than other studios.

You give me all that and a little prequel 'Duel of the Fates' fanfare with the score and I say that's just about the perfect teaser for a series we were all already sold on I could imagine.

I can't wait to see Ewan play Obi-Wan with good material, and for Hayden to play Anakin/Vader with the same. Hopefully even some Qui-Gon/Mace Windu Force Ghost action. I've got my full trust in Deborah Chow and co. after her phenomenal episodes of 'The Mandalorian' and think she understands how to play in this universe as well as any.
