First Ja. Then came LeBron. Soon after we got Tatum. And now we have Kyrie. What a last couple of weeks we've had in the Association. It's not as if scoring 50 is really something that happens all that often in an NBA season, and we've had one basically every other night recently. The cool part is each ends up being pretty historic and Kyrie's is no exception. It was art

If there's one thing I've always been consistent about when it comes to this stuff, it's if you make NBA history doing something in a game, I'm in. Chalk me up as someone who loves witnessing NBA history being made. Doesn't matter who it is really, you do some cool shit I'll celebrate it.

This performance shows the complicated world of Kyrie Irving. On the basketball court, it's impossible to hate on his game. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing and beautiful to watch, but when he gets in that zone he is one of the most unstoppable scorers at his position. When you talk about Kyrie, everyone says the same shit in regards to his talent. It's rare. It's unmatched when it reaches its full potential. It's why team after team and fanbase after fanbase puts up with the rest of what comes with the Kyrie package. When he does shit like this, you remember why you do it. The basketball talent is special.

And make no mistake, this is the Kyrie that the Nets need. They are out of time basically when you realize where we are in the NBA calendar. They need to stack wins and they need to do it consecutively. Sure it helps when you play a brutal defense in the Hornets, but this is going to have to carry over to every game Kyrie is eligible to play. By my count, there's 5 more for the rest of the season. It's a list of PHI/ORL/MEM/ATL. There's a Knicks road game in there but that's obviously in New York so that's out. Over the final 16 games, 11 are played in the state of New York. Given where the Nets are in the standings, they need to win all 5 of those Kyrie games at a minimum. Not exactly easy, but certainly easier if this is the type of Kyrie you're going to get. When he's locked in, he's a different beast. This was the same Kyrie we saw against the Bucks on the 26th (38 points), only better. That's the one that is going to give Nets fans hope.

It's been another drama filled season for Kyrie which unfortunately for him is starting to become the norm. Fortunately, so are performances like this.
