The Legend Of Chet Holmgren Grew With One Simple Cutaway During A WCC Tournament Game

I always wondered what would happen this year for Chet Holmgren's legacy to grow. The man came on the stage as this tall, lanky dude from Minnesota who hit Steph Curry with his own move at his camp.

Then everything happened. You found out his name was Chet, which is still incredible. I'm so happy we have a top-3 pick named Chet. We need more Chets in the world. Then he becomes the No. 1 recruit and all that good stuff. But then last night happened. WCC Tournament semifinals, Gonzaga vs San Francisco. 9pm tip after the two conference title games and the 'marquee' game on a light slate. Most people tuning in to see this cutaway.

His father with the old school camcorder. Absolutely unreal scene. We're in 2022! Dave Holmgren can simply ask Gonzaga for tape. He can go to Synergy. Shit, he can record it on his TV with a simple click of the button. But nope, the man needs his camcorder. I hope he still has to download the tape to a VHS. Need the Holmgren family gathering around the family room TV just to break down VHS tape of Chet and figure out the scouting reports.

Sure, Chet may have went for 17, 8 rebounds and 6 blocks but Dave Holmgren stole the show. Chet is now the only top-3 pick in the last I don't know, 15 years, to have his tape be on actual tape. Fucking love this dude.
