Highlights From Tonight's UFC Prelims

Nothin too flashy that's gonna blow your mind from the prelims tonight, but there's been some great fights, so here are the highlights....

Carlos Hernandez defeated Victor Altamirano in an incredibly close, awesome fight. I think the judges got this one right (Hernandez R2/3) and it could definitely receive FOTN honors.

Ramiz Brahimaj IMMEDIATELY shot for (and got) a takedown against newcomer Michael Gillmore, and then he sunk in a rear naked choke for the win. Dude just SMOTHERED him the entire (short) duration of the fight.

Jonathan Martinez controlled basically all of his fight against Alejandro Perez by using his super fast snapping kicks and keeping Perez outta range, but it seemed like the 10sec clapper woke Perez up every round and made him swing for the fences….

It wasn't enough, though, and Martinez got the W I think we all expected him to in that spot.

Terrance McKinney picked up his 5th first round finish in a row (and 11th overall) with a rear naked choke much like Brahimaj, and even got the attention of the champ (and a few others)!

Josiane Nunes boxed the eye off Ramona Pascual (but luckily it wasn't as gross as last night's eye injury)….

….and in the final fight before the main card, Ignacio Bahamondes looked really impressive against Zhu Rong - and Bahamondes added ANOTHER choke finish to the prelims….

Just a really nasty looking submission there that was actually the first in his career!

Now it's time for the main card (on ESPN+) - Makhachev vs Green will probably start around 9pm EST if you're only interested in the main event. There's some great fights between now and then, though, so tune in if you've got a spare TV or nothin else to watch. We're halfway there on the boosted parlay, as well, so fingers crossed on that.
