It has been less than 24 hours since the entire devastating situation in Ukraine started. We've already seen enough images to have been from weeks or months worth of war. Everything about it is terrible.
Joy Behar agrees. She agrees to such an extent, in fact, that she is concerned about the confrontation having such far-reaching implications as to affect her potential Italian vacation. I still can't believe this video is real.
That tweet nails it. It takes a special devotion to sounding as unfathomably out of touch as humanly possible to share that sentiment on television. When Behar said, "I'm scared of what's going to happen in Western Europe, too," my brain had just finished computing the fact she was bringing up a new point rather than thinking Ukraine was in Western Europe and I couldn't yell, "Don't say it!" in time before she lamented her mythical vacation being interrupted. It all happened in slow motion.
Won't someone please think of Joy Behar today in these trying times? Keep her and her hopefully refundable trip to Venice in your prayers.
