Now That's An Offer That Milan Lucic Can't Refuse
The Calgary Flames are buzzing right now. They're at the top of the Pacific Division. Have won 10 straight. And now Milan Lucic gets to wheel this mom and all he has to do in return is hand over one of the probably 7 sticks he already has laying around on the bench. Seems like a pretty decent and fair trade to me. It also seems like a major win for everybody involved.
For starters, the kid gets a new Warrior Alpha LX stick. Secondly, this means that the kid's old man doesn't need to spend money on a new stick for his kid. Have you seen the prices of those things these days? We're talking $279.99. That should last him at least the next few seasons. I'm sure the mom also isn't too upset about the prospect of heading back with Looch. And then Milan Lucic...well...yeah I mean obviously he's the big winner here. As far as trade deadline deals go, this is one of those rare ones where everybody wins. Do the deal.
P.S. -- Here's what I said about Elias Lindholm on the day he was traded to Calgary in the Dougie Hamilton deal.
Now I'll admit I was way off about Adam Fox just being a "highly rated prospect" instead of a guy who would go on to win a Norris Trophy just 3 years later. But feels good to get at least one thing right about Lindholm. 8 straight with a goal for Eli. The man simply cannot stop scoring.
