Fran Fraschilla Wasted No Time Roasting NFL's Overtime Rules Because Kansas/Texas Tech Was AWESOME

This is how it's done. This is everything that overtime and double overtime should be. I know everyone, including me, has fired off our jokes about NFL overtime. I barely care about that anymore because of this game. I'm a college basketball guy first and foremost. This game is yet another reason why. Monday nights used to be the go-to weekday night for college hoops. The ACC would always have a loaded game, the Big 12 would have a loaded game and then we'd get a Gonzaga nightcap typically. This year? We suffered through Louisville/Virginia to get this.

Double overtime. A comeback. Ochai Agbaji looking the part of National Player of the Year. Texas Tech getting respect from basically everyone on a national level.

There's a TON to unpack from this game. Like I said you have Agbaji going for 37 and putting himself as a favorite for NPOY. You had him hitting that three to force double OT. Dude is so good man. No other way to put it. He bails Kansas out so much, especially since they really do struggle defensively. Self just keeps figuring shit out that works. This time it was KJ Adams coming in too and doing a ton of little shit throughout the two OTs. Texas Tech is who they are. They defend their asses off. One of the, if not the best defensive team we've seen this year. They have a star too in Bryson Williams. Yeah, there are concerns offensively since they don't have a true lead guard and can get inconsistent. But that defense is so damn good. I said it during the game and it's a compliment. There are games you watch them and it feels like they should be down 20, but they just hang around. They'll only be down 7 and then go on a run to tie it up like tonight.

I don't feel bad for the people from Kansas. Not one bit. Oh boo hoo you had to sit through two ridiculous games and some overtimes. Just rub it in.
