Baker Mayfield Is Stepping Away From Social Media Because People Pointed Out He's Not Josh Allen Or Patrick Mahomes

Fair point out of the Cleveland sports talk radio host (and former Ohio State Buckeye captain and 2002 National Champion).

He's exactly right. The Browns need to decide if they think Baker Mayfield is the guy that can lead them to the Super BowI. And for Baker to the lead the Browns to the Super Bowl, he's going to have to do so in the AFC against quarterbacks like promising young QBs like Joe Burrow, Justin Herbert, Lamar Jackson.....and on full display last night, Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes.

If you watched that game last night as a Browns fan and thought we have anything close to those two quarterbacks, you need to be checked into a mental institution. Mahomes drove the field in 13 seconds. Baker couldn't even type an instagram post up in 13 seconds.

I like that point. Unfortunately, so did Baker Mayfield. On Twitter.....

Add Dustin Fox to the list! You know, that list that Baker keeps of everyone that doubts him. I hope my guy bought the 5-subject notebook instead of the little 70 pager. He's got A LOT of names to write down these days.

Well of course someone noticed Baker's like and then Browns Twitter went into a tizzy, ultimately ending with Baker declaring social media to be toxic and that he's going to go back to focusing on his family and loved ones only.

I guess that's one way to spin it.

Baker is right…social media is absolutely toxic. And he should take some time away from it. But Baker, YOU are the one searching for it and pouring gasoline on the fire. I know Baker is wired differently, but I swear to God if you gave me tens of millions of dollars, I would just delete Twitter. Instead, he lives on Twitter, liking hate from sports talk radio hosts that are paid to say things like that.

I don't know, guys. I like his fire when things are going well. I like his leadership. And I want to give him another chance this season to see if it really was his injury that was the problem. But drama surrounds Baker everywhere he goes. It's a non-stop reality show with this guy. Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes put on a show for the ages last night, and this morning in Cleveland we're talking about Baker giving up social media. Always a circus.
