Jon Rahm On This Week’s Setup At The AmEx: “Piece of Shit Fucking Setup. Putting Contest.”

I mean he’s not wrong. That’s the case most weeks on Tour. Jon Rahm is an elite ball striker, guy crushes it from tee to green. Guy can putt his ass off too but anyone can run hot and cold on the greens in any given week. This week…. has not been his week on the dancefloor…

So yeah, I’d be frustrated too by anything that shortens the gap between me and my inferior opponents. That’s the majority of stops on Tour, and that goes double for anything that’s a Pro-Am.

Jon Rahm is also an elite mumbler. A renowned complainer for my money. I live for Rahm meltdowns. Hard to deny that his demand for perfection hasn’t been a huge net positive for him given where he’s gotten to in the game, but it’s also hard to deny that it’s top notch entertainment. And this clip is exactly that. It’s almost too good. A part of me is suspicious that it’s fake because the audio is so pure but it also sounds exactly like him. It’s a shame he’s not doing the Netflix doc because him unfiltered on a mic would be awesome but this is as good as it gets.
