The coach who brought you to a title game. The coach that made Texas Tech a top-25 program. The coach that left you for a conference, in-state rival. You don't just sell out the joint and boo him. No you bring an elite shit talker on the mic and let him go to work. Frankly, they should just let Ric Flair say whatever he wants. Give him a few extra bucks to really go at Beard.
I know Texas Tech fans don't get why Beard left and fucking hate him for it. Is it annoying? Perhaps. But it's what makes a rivalry great. I don't want Tech fans to be rational. I just want them to lose their mind and be woo'ing all over the place come February 1. Tech fans are wild too man. They will line up for days for this game, drink their faces off and it will 100% be one of the most hostile environments this season. Adding Flair to that?

Complete sidenote, no doubt in my mind this lawyer has the best local commercials in the game. There's nothing like local attorney commercials and promos. This guy with the nickname the Gorilla Lawyer? Probably a legend on local Lubbock stations. I have no idea why but it's always a law firm too.

All I know is Texas Tech is winning the breakup. They have been better than Texas this year. They are mocking them when they lose.
They are overtaking the Texas arena when they go to Austin.
