IT'S A NEW DAY GIANTS FANS!!!

If you want a glimpse on how bad things have gotten for Giants fans, it took me about 10 pages to find a picture the entire fanbase would be able to get behind for the thumbnail to this blog. Any Giants fan that has a problem with Elisha Nelson Manning is not a Giants fan in my eyes and can suck an egg.

Anyway, I wanted to write this blog as a way to smash the Reset button on everything after the last couple days of craziness that followed the last couple of months of misery that was a part of the last five years of absolute hell because I think all of us Giants fans woke up on the right side of the bed this morning. The sun shined a little brighter, the sky was a little bluer, the soul crippling cold didn't make me curse my family as to why they didn't settle south of the Mason-Dixon Line. Today is indisputably a good day.

We can still argue about what the Giants should do about Daniel Jones, question what could have happened if Joe Judge had a GM and an offensive coordinator that weren't the worst in the NFL, and what John Mara has proven to tell us he will not fuck this entire situation up yet again. But instead of rehashing the same old bullshit that Giants fans have been arguing about for years, we are going to throw all of those in the trash and move forward.

Now Giants fans get to become excited again. There are a million different GM candidates they are interviewing and each one was secretly the most responsible for acquiring all of their teams best players over the last few years (This may not be true but I am telling myself they pounded the table for every young stud they drafted).

Once the GM is hired, we get to convince ourselves that whoever he hires as head coach will not be the fourth Giants coach in a row to be fired in two years or less and maybe just maybe get the Giants above .500 for the first time in five years. Not for the season, but just for a day, which hasn't happened since this nightmare was taken.

Okay, reign it back in Clem. This is supposed to be a new day blog.

I'm excited about mock drafting the two Giants picks in the Top 10 about players I know basically nothing about until my eyeballs bleed, installing an offensive system that believes in passing the ball downfield in a league whose rules essentially demand you do that, and having someone that will actually FIX THE OFFENSIVE FUCKING LINE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN LIKE A DECADE. The mere thought of picking up a couple of good, young O-Linemen as well as a respected offensive line coach with legitimate 

I'm also excited about the New York media being able to ask John Mara why Dave Gettleman was allowed to quietly retire without any culpability for his 19-46 record as Giants GM, how Jason Garrett was hired then allowed to retain his job despite showing a complete lack of competence by his offense, what was the reason for the extra day worth of letting Joe Judge twist in the wind which once again resulted in the Giants looking like a clown show, and if any other moves will be made in a front office that seems to value tenure and familiarity with the franchise SIGNIFICANTLY more than results.

Yeah that's a bunch of the stuff I said I wasn't going to bitch about anymore, but I'm a petty asshole that wants to know why my falls and winters were not only ruined every single year but somehow got worse as the Giants kept hitting a new rock bottom. 

Actually who gives a shit? I don't see the beat reporters going extra hard at one of the few New York ownership groups that hasn't been a bunch of assholes over the last few decades and even if they do, Mara's answers will be a repeat of him assuring the fans he is going to fix this after the last five years of horse shit. 

The bottom line is I woke up this morning feeling relieved like a growth was removed from my brain simply because the Giants have a fresh slate, seem to be going outside their comfort zone for the first time in my life, and now we get to imagine every offseason move we made was an absolute home run for months before the season starts, which is as big a win as the Giants have had since this guy was under center.

That man can truly make me smile every single time. Please God let him have Snoop's Death Row chain on this Monday night.
