Well Shit, These Facts Make It Impossible For Baylor Not To Repeat As NCAA Tournament Champs Now

I'm not going to sit here and fact check it because it's the AP poll. I'm also not going to sit here and argue against it because facts are facts. Baylor just won the NCAA Tournament again. Pretty remarkable. How can you look at this thread and these examples and not just hand them the trophy again? They are No. 1 on KenPom. They are No. 1 in the NET. They are undefeated. They have the 2nd best odds to win the NCAA Tournament according to the Barstool Sportsbook.

In all seriousness, it's pretty wild that Baylor is out here doing this again. Remember during the COVID year they looked like a 1 seed. Last year they had a legit chance to go undefeated if they didn't suffer that COVID pause, but still won the NCAA Tournament. All this after where they were not that long ago when Scott Drew took over. They couldn't play televised games. They had all the sanctions because Dave Bliss is a piece of shit and a teammate killed another teammate. The story of Baylor will never cease to amaze me and should be talked about way more. The fact that they are even relevant is shocking.

So how are they doing it? It's a mix of landing big time recruits like Kendall Brown, big time transfers like James Akinjo and having guys like Adam Flagler and Matthew Mayer take jumps after secondary roles a year prior. They are top-7 in both offense and defense. We know all about Drew's ability to run the amoeba zone or man to man defense. But it's the fact they've improved so much on the offensive side of the ball. They kill you shooting it, they kill you on the glass. It's impressive.

What is weird is seeing this stat though:

Get your shit together Eastern time zone. That or at least give us better late night games when we're up and wanting to watch something.
