The Black Monday Firings Have Started With The Vikings Parting Ways With Head Coach Mike Zimmer And General Manager Rick Spielman

I've seen roughly 1000 "Here We Go" Joker gifs, so I guess the Black Monday firings have begun.
I think most people expected Zimmer gone after the reports over the last few days and the Vikings missing the playoffs despite having a functioning However, I would still do awful things to have had a coach that went 72-56-1 over the last 8 seasons. I know the Vikings never made a Super Bowl with Zimmer, but I have to believe that at least part of that was due to the unquestionable curse placed on the franchise by the Football Gods that led to the Blair Walsh missed chip shot and Teddy Bridgewater injury that had people crying and puking their guts out.

Nonetheless, what's done is done and Zimmer is looking for a new job like a whole bunch of other coaches will be after today. But I am personally sad that a Football Guy like Zimmer is out of our lives for now.

As for Spielman, I think we can all agree that his job came down to gambling a ton of money on Kirk Cousins to take the Vikings to The Big Game™, which obviously fell short. At least from afar, Minnesota always seemed to do alright in the draft and free agency and their biggest sin was sharing a division with Aaron Rodgers.
Oh well, best of luck to these two gentlemen on whatever is next in their careers. At least we'll always have this wonderful video that will make millions of people smile.
