Popular Twitch Streamer 'Pokimane' Has Been Banned On Twitch For Watching 'Avatar: The Last Airbender' On Stream

Twitch streamer 'Pokimane' has been banned on Twitch after she watched Avatar with her chat.

This ban is part of a new meta that's been swirling around content creators. It's the react meta - but taken 10 steps further. So think about the creator Flight, his content is majority reactions to clips and all that jazz.

Flight is an example of a react creator.

Creators on Twitch and YouTube have been making react content for what seems like a decade now. Lately, streamers have been taking it way too far and began to watch TV shows and movies on their stream. If you're familiar with DMCA strikes, you know how insanely strict music copyright is. Last year, a bunch of streamers got in heat for playing copyright music on their streams. It actually baffles me that streamers thought they'd be able to watch TV shows and movies live on stream with no repercussions. I mean, they HAD to know this sort of content was risky, right?

So Poki's ban was the first of what I think will be MANY bans if streamers keep up this style of content. Let's be brutally honest here too, it's the laziest content of all time to watch a show or movie with your chat. It makes it extremely hard for content creators who make actual content through their entertainment to compete with viewers.

Trainwrecks put this exact point into an argument against Hasan.

Poki is one of the largest streamers on Twitch, so there's no doubt in my mind that Pokimane will return to Twitch fairly soon and her ban will be lifted. Hopefully this is a lesson to all react creators…
