Former Ohio State Player K’Vaughn Pope Is Complaining That He Was Treated Unfairly By Ohio State’s Coaching Staff Because Younger Players Played Over Him

I doubt any of you have ever heard of K’Vaughn Pope but you might remember him as the kid who quit on the sideline in the middle of a game for Ohio State in September. Why he quit is pretty simple. He‘s a linebacker that had been with the program since 2017-2018. Last season Ohio State had all senior starting linebackers who all left to go on to the NFL. He thought he was guaranteed a spot in the rotation just because he had been around the program for a long time.

This is one of the most pathetic excuses/rationale for a bad experience I’ve ever seen. This man dead seriously said he was treated unfairly because younger players played before him. News flash buddy, you play for Ohio State aka one of the best college football programs in the country. The roster is always filled with talent and every single year new/elite talent is coming in. It may be next man up when starters leave from the year before but there’s a variety of men to choose from to fill that spot. It’s not like you’re waiting on line at the grocery store. You’re not guaranteed the spot. You earn that spot. Apparently K’Vaughn Pope still doesn’t understand that even after having 4 months to reflect on the situation and that’s why he’ll most likely never play football again.

If you haven’t noticed by now he‘s a mental marshmallow so the second I gave him a little dose of reality he immediately blocked me

It’s a damn shame. Kids don’t get their way and throw a temper tantrum on the way out instead of putting their head down and working hard to earn their spot. They quit, run away, cry and complain on twitter. Truly sad. The kid got a full ride to play at Ohio State, obviously he’s a talented football player, why in the world would he not keep his mouth shut and just enter the transfer portal like every other kid who ends up in the same situation as him?! It’s not 2005 anymore you’re not held hostage at the mercy of your head coaching allowing you to transfer. If he didn’t quit on his team and tweet dumbass shit like this I’m sure he would have had a ton of opportunities to go to another division one program and play. Instead he dug his own grave. He’s still young and for his own sake I hope he smartens up and gets another chance to play I really do. With shit like this out there, I’m not holding my breath on it.
