Raiders DB Nate Hobbs Was Arrested For DUI Around 4 AM After He Was Allegedly Asleep Behind The Wheel Of His Car

TMZ- Las Vegas Raiders cornerback Nate Hobbs was arrested for DUI just hours after the team's huge win over the Colts ... after cops say the rookie was found passed out in his car in Vegas. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Sports ... cops responded to The Cromwell Hotel around 4 AM on Monday, after they say witnesses saw Hobbs asleep at the wheel on a parking lot exit ramp. Our sources say officers made contact with the football player ... and eventually arrested him after they claim he did not do well in field sobriety tests.

A jail official tells us Hobbs was booked on one count of misdemeanor DUI and is currently in the process of being released from custody. The jail official added that Hobbs has a court date set for May.

I can't believe it. I mean I can 100000000% believe it because reading about someone getting a DUI happens so often that it completely has numbed the seriousness of the charge. But I can't possibly comprehend knowing someone that ended the lives of an innocent person and their dog not to mention completely ruined his life, forever changed the lives of his girlfriend, young daughter, as well as all the family and friends of the people involved in the accident because he decided to drive drunk. Which means I sure as shit cannot even come close to fathoming getting arrested for a DUI two months and one day after this happened.

Throw in the obligatory facts that Vegas is one of the cities that is filled with taxis 24/7 along with Hobbs making about a million dollars this year and I still can't figure out how the fuck this is still a thing. I know the NFL free ride program is no longer a thing.

But maybe the NFL and NFLPA can find a few bucks in Goodell's leather couch cushions to make sure I'm not blogging about a player sleeping behind a wheel or God forbid driving wasted like he's in a race before crashing into someone driving back to their apartment.

TL;DR - Don't fucking drink or drive, whether you are a pro football player or not. What the fuck are we even doing here man?
