Catch Up On The Entire Matrix Trilogy In 11 Minutes Before Watching Matrix Resurrections This Weekend

I'll be honest, I didn't even know the new Matrix movie came out this week or that it could be streamed on HBO Max until this morning. But I immediately realized I had to do one of those quick recap videos where the narrator talks fast and sprinkles in some humor since I don't remember a goddamn thing about the franchise outside of two pills, Keanu Reeves being a virtual Superman, and Monica Bellucci.

So I watched the video above and came to the conclusion that I'm not sure if I even want to watch Matrix 4. The first Matrix was revolutionary, the second Matrix was fun even if it suffered from some typical sequel issues, and the third one sucked like almost all third movies in a trilogy do. Don't get me wrong, I'll still watch the new Matrix because there isn't shit else to do as the world slowly starts closing down again. But I'm not as stoked as I was before watching those videos.

I'm not hoping for this movie to be great or good or even a satisfying wrap up for the franchise. I just hope that we get a decent meme or two out of it for the holiday season. Is that too much to ask?
